Just because UCF Football isn't in contention for a bowl game, that doesn't mean that there's no pressure on the players.

"The pressure's never off when you're playing football," senior safety Sha'reff Rashad told the Orlando Sentinel. "When you're on the field, there's always pressure, but I think we'll be able to handle it."

Rashad said the Knights (3-7, 2-4 C-USA) are pressuring themselves to finish the year with a three-game win streak. They defeated Marshall last weekend and head to Memphis on Saturday, followed by the season finale Nov. 29 against UAB.

Head coach George O'Leary said there was a spring in the players' step this week after beating the Thundering Herd to snap a four-game slide.

"They needed the win," he said.
